School Council

The School Council consists of representatives from Year 1 to Year 6 who are elected each school year by their classmates. Supported by Miss Ward, their role is to act as the official voice for all children at Canon Sharples School and play an active role in making their school and community a better place.

What is the purpose of a School Council?

  • An inclusive, structured, forum for discussion, decision-making and strategic planning.
  • A means for children to raise issues and concerns.
  • A means to consult all pupils.
